The Peru 50 Soles de Oro Banknote is part of the 1968-1977 series which were all printed by Thomas De La Rue, now the world's largest commercial security printer and papermaker. This specimen banknote issued in 1977 is black, purple, and green in color and measures 155 x 65 mm. The obverse side features Inca Tupac Amaru II wearing a hat. The front also shows two miners with a hammer and pry bar. Meanwhile, the reverse side shows the San Bartolomchurchyard in El Historico Pueblo de Tinta. It was given a grade of 66 by grading company Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
