The Peru 500 Intis Banknote is part of the 1985-1991 Inti series where the inti replaced the sol de oro at a rate of 1:1,000. This banknote issued in 1987 has shades of brown, orange, and green and measures 150 x 75 mm. The obverse side features Jose Gabriel Condorcanqui Tupac Amaru II, who led a large Andean uprising against the Spanish in Peru, as well as Perus Coat of Arms. Meanwhile, the reverse side shows ancient line drawings and hikers climbing mountains. This banknote has a solid security thread and is watermarked with the image of Amaru II. It was given a grade of 66 by grading company Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
