This 500 Peruvian sol de oro note has a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint and DLR oval overprint on both sides, a horizontal red SPECIMEN number in front, and an all-zero serial number. It is a blue, orange, purple, and brown note that measures 130 mm x 65 mm, is dated 18 March 1982, and bears the signatures of Roberto Abusada Salah, Richard Webb Duarte, and Brian Jensen Rubio. Its obverse side features the national hero Jose Quiñones. Its reverse side shows a logging camp. The note does not have a security thread or a watermark. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
