The Philippines 1,000 Piso Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines in 2020. Its obverse side shows portraits of Jose Abad Santos, Josefa Llanes Escoda, and Vicente Lim, an Order of Lakandula Medal of Honor, a depiction of the crowd at the centennial celebration of independence in 1998, the seal of the Philippine president, the Central Bank seal, and an OVI of a South Sea pearl and BSP logo. Its reverse side depicts a South Sea pearl in a clam shell (Pinctada maxima), a turtle, the map of the Philippines, the Tubbataha Reefs National Park, and a Tinalak design. Security features include a 4-mm wide red-to-green windowed security thread with a demetalized BSP 1000 and a watermark that reveals Santos, Escoda, Lim, and an electrotype 1000. The blue banknote bear the signatures of Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Central Bank Governor Benjamin Estoista Diokno and measures 160 mm x 66 mm. It is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
