This uncirculated 5 Philippine peso banknote is a standard circulation banknote introduced by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Central Bank of the Philippines) in 1978. It is a green and brown banknote that bears the signatures of President Ferdinand Marcos and Bank Governor Jose B. Fernandez Jr. and measures 160 mm x 66 mm. Its obverse side shows a portrait of Andres Bonifacio, the bank logo, and an ANG BAGONG LIPUNAN guilloche overprint. Its reverse side depicts the initiation of new members to the Katipunan. Security features include a segmented solid security thread and a watermark of Andres Bonifacio. The banknote was demonetized in 1996.
