The Philippines 50 Piso Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines in 2020. Its obverse side illustrates the First National Assembly in 1907 and the arrival of General Douglas MacArthur during Leyte in 1944. It also depicts the seal of the Philippine president, the Central Bank seal, and a portrait of former president Sergio Osmeña. Its reverse side depicts a map of the Philippines, a school of maliputo fish (Caranx ignobilis), a view of Taal Lake, and an embroidery design from Batangas. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Sergio Osmeña with an electrotype 50. The red banknote is 160 mm x 66 mm in size and bears the signatures of Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Central Bank Governor Benjamin Estoista Diokno.
