This 20 Polish zloty note is one of 55,000 issued by the National Bank of Poland to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Coronation of the Icon of Our Lady of Czetochowa, Polands interpretation of the Virgin Mary. This note was designed by Justyna Kopecka. Its obverse side contains the floral ornament from the antependium of the altar in the Chapel of the Mother of God, the national emblem of Poland, flying guardian angels holding Mary and Jesus crowns bestowed by Pope Clement XI, Anjou lilies, and tendrils from the baroque frame of the Miraculous Icon. Its reverse side contains the floor plan of the Jasna Gora Monastery, a SPARK live fleur-de-lis of the House of Anjou, and an 18th century drawing of the coronation of the Miraculous Icon of the Mother of God. The note has a Marian monogram registration device and a solid security thread with demetalized 20 Zt. Its watermarks are the Pauline Order coat of arms, which is a raven with a loaf of bread in its beak and two lions leaning against a palm tree, and an electrotyped 20. Its dimensions are 150 mm by 77 mm. The note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
