Reviews:

The Poland 50 Zlotych banknote was issued by the Bank of Poland in 2006 with a birthday serial number to commemorate the 28th Anniversary of Karol Jozef Wojtyla's election to the papacy as Pope John Paul II. It has a color combination of blue, brown, and green. The obverse of the note features Pope John Paul II holding a staff with a crucifix top. It also shows Peter’s keys and the coat of arms of Poland which depicts a crowned eagle. The world map can also be found in the background. The reverse illustrates the inauguration of Pope John Paul II with Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski, the Jasna Gora Monastery and shrine in Czestochowa as well as an excerpt from the Letter to Poles. The note contains a solid security thread with printed 50 ZL and a watermark that reveals the papal seal. It is 144 x 72 mm in size and is signed by Leszek Balcerowicz and Mariusz Mastalerz. This commemorative banknote is in uncirculated condition.
