This uncirculated 1,000 Portuguese escudo note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Portugal as part of the Seafarers and Explorer series. It is a yellow and orange note that is dated 18 April 1996, bear the signatures of Antonio Jose Fernandes de Sousa and Luis Manuel Moreira de Campos e Cunha, and measures 132 mm x 68 mm. Its obverse side features Pedro Alvares Cabral. Its reverse side shows a sailing ship and the animals of Brazil. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Pedro Alvares Cabral.
