This uncirculated 500 Portuguese escudo banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Portugal. It is an orange banknote that is dated 04 November 1993, bears the signatures of Luis Miguel Couceiro Pizarro Beleza and Joao Antonio Morais da Costa Pinto, and measures 156 mm x 74 mm. Its obverse side honors Jose Xavier Mouzinho da Silveira. Its reverse side depicts a corn and wheat sheaf tied together by grape vines and sunflowers. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of Jose Xavier Mouzinho da Silveira.
