This used 500 Qatari riyal note is a standard circulation note introduced by the Qatar Central Bank in 1996. It is a blue and green note that bear the signatures of Abdullah Ben Khaled Al-Attiya and Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, and measures 164 mm x 73.5 mm. Its obverse side features a holographic patch and the national coat of arms. Its reverse side is vertically oriented and depicts an offshore oil platform. Security features include a windowed security thread with demetalized text and a falcon head watermark. The note was demonetized in 2013.
