The Bermudian dollar series from 1970 features the portrait from Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee, marking 25 years of rule by the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Nations. The portrait was taken by Peter Grugeon and the banknote company De La Rue engraved it. Queen Elizabeth II is seen wearing the Grand Duchess Vladimir’s Tiara. The tiara was smuggled out of Russia during the Russian revolution by British Secret agent Albert Stopford. She is also seen wearing Queen Victoria’s golden jubilee necklace and once again, the sashes from the two royal family orders of King George the 4th and king George the 5th. The 2000 banknote series feature Queen Elizabeth II from Terry O’Neal’s 1992 portrait. Queen Elizabeth II is seen wearing the Burmese Ruby Tiara that was created in 1973 by Garrard.
