Romania 1,000 Lei Banknote, 1998, P-106a.3, UNC

The Romania 1,000 Lei banknote was released by the National Bank of Romania in 1998. Featured on its front design is the countrys emblem, a lily flower, the bank monogram logo, a quill, and Romanian poet Mihai Eminescu. The back of the note depicts lime and blue flowers, the ancient pillars in Histria on the Black Sea coast, and the bank monogram. The paper bill is 140 x 61 mm in size and bears a solid security thread with a demetalized BNR 1000. The note also carries a registration device in the form of a butterfly. Its watermark reveals Mihai Eminescu and a vertical BNR. This particular Romanian 1,000 Lei banknote is in uncirculated condition.
