Romania 1 Leu Banknote, 2005, P-117a, UNC, Polymer

This uncirculated 1 Romanian leu banknote is dated 1 July 2005 and signed by Dr. Mugur Constantin Icarescu and Ionel Nitu. It is a green, blue, and yellow polymer banknote that measures 120 mm x 62 mm. Its obverse side shows the national coat of arms, gentian flowers, the BNR monogram, and a portrait of Nicolae Iorga. Its reverse side shows the crusader eagle with a cross in its beak, the Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, and the BNR monogram. Security features include a simulated solid security thread, a flower registration device, and a watermark of Nicolae Iorga and a BNR monogram.
