This uncirculated 1 Romanian leu note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the National Bank of Romania. It is a green, blue, and yellow polymer note that is dated 01 January 2018/2022, bear the signatures of Mugur Constantin Isarescu and Ionel Nitu, and measures 120 mm x 62 mm. Its obverse side features the Romanian coat of arms, gentian flowers (Gentiana asclepiadaea), a BNR monogram, and a portrait of Nicolae Iorga. Its reverse side shows a BNR monogram, a crusader eagle with a cross in its beak, and the Romanian Orthodox cathedral. Though the note is made of polymer substrate, it has a flower registration device, a simulated solid security thread, and shadow images of Nicolae Iorga and the BNR monogram.
