This uncirculated 1 million Romanian lei banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the National Bank of Romania. It is a blue, green, and violet polymer banknote that is dated 2003/2004, bears the signatures of Mugur Constantin Isarescu and Ionel Nitu, and measures 168 mm x 78 mm. Its obverse side shows the national coat of arms, a violet flower (Viola sororia), a comedy mask, a BNR monogram, and a portrait of Ion Luca Caragiale. Its reverse side contains the BNR monogram, a tragedy mask in OVI, the statue of Ion Luca Caragiale by Constantin Baraschi, and the original Teatrul cel Mare din Bucuresti (Grand Theatre of Bucharest) building.
