The Romania 10,000 Lei Banknote was Issued by the National Bank of Romania in 2001, printed on polymer. The note has a color combination of green, blue, and yellow. Its obverse features the coat of arms of Romania, gentian flowers, the BNR monogram, and a portrait of Nicolae Iorga. The reverse depicts a crusader eagle with a cross in its beak, from the Vallachian coat of arms during the reign of Prince Constantin Brancoveanu. It also shows the Romanian Orthodox cathedral in Curtea de Arges, a flower, and the BNR monogram. The note does not contain a security thread but has a shadow image watermark that reflects Nicolae Iorga and the BNR monogram. The note is 143 x 63 mm in size and is signed by Mugur Constantin Isarescu and Ionel Nitu. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
