The Romania 10 Lei Banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the National Bank of Romania in 2010. It has a color combination of orange, purple, red, brown, and yellow and is printed on polymer. Its obverse side features the national coat of arms, hollyhock flowers (Althea officinalis), the BNR monogram, an artist’s palette and brush, an artist’s palette in gold OVI, and a portrait of artist Nicolae Grigorescu. Its reverse side shows the BNR monogram, the young girl from Grigorescu’s “Rodica, the Water Carrier”, and a traditional house in Ottenia. Its security features include an artist’s palette registration device, a simulated solid security thread, and a shadow image of Nicolae Grigorescu and the BNR monogram. The note bear the signatures of Ionel Nitu and Dr. Mugur Constantin Isarescu and measures 133 mm x 72 mm. This polymer banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
