This uncirculated 200 Romanian leu note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the National Bank of Romania. It is an orange, green red, blue, yellow, and violet polymer note that is dated 01 January 2018/(20)21, bear the signatures of Ionel Nitu and Dr. Mugur Constantin Isarescu, and measures 150 mm x 82 mm. Its obverse side features the crowned coat of arms, the BNR monogram, an open book with excerpts from “Self Portrait” and “9 May 1895”, poppy flowers (Papaver rhoeas), and a portrait of poet Lucian Blaga. Its reverse side shows the BNR monogram, the Neolithic statue of the Thinker of Hamangia, a rainbow, a water mill, and a sessile oak tree (Quercus petraea). Though the note is made of polymer, it has security features including an inkwell registration device, a simulated solid security thread, and a shadow image of Lucian Blaga and the BNR monogram.
