This used 50,000 Romanian lei banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the National Bank of Romania. It is a purple, violet, blue, brown, and orange note that is dated 2000, bears the signatures of Mugur Constantin Isarescu and Ionel Nitu, and measures 155 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side shows the national coat of arms, a musical score underprint, carnation flowers (Dianthus dianthus), a BNR monogram, an embossed violin, and a portrait of George Enescu. Its reverse side depicts an underprint of musical notes, an excerpt from the musical score of the King Oedipus opera, a BNR monogram, and a view of the Sphinx natural rock formation in Bucegi Natural Park. Security features include musical notes as a registration device, a solid security thread with a demetalized BNR 50000, and a watermark of George Enescu with a vertical BNR.
