This used 500,000 Lei Romania note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the National Bank of Romania. It is a yellow, green, blue, and orange polymer note that is dated 2000-2004, bear the signatures of Mugur Constantin Isarescu and Ionel Nitu, and measures 165 x 76 mm. Its obverse side features the coat of arms, an edelweiss flower, a starburst as a registration device, the BNR monogram, an airplane propeller, Aurel Vlaicu, and a vertical stripe in gold OVI with the BNR pattern and a latent image of the Aurel Vlaicu monument. Its reverse side shows the monogram, the Vlaicu II airplane, the motor, the head of a mountain eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), a starburst, and the BNR monogram. Security features include a simulated solid security thread and a watermark of Aurel Vlaicu, and a BNR monogram. This used note may contain minor tearing, folding, and/or ink stains. Additionally, the note was withdrawn in 2005.
