This 100 Russian ruble banknote was issued by the Bank of Russia in 2014 to commemorate the Sochi Winter Olympics. These new notes are of legal tender and circulate in parallel with existing 100-ruble notes. The note is vertically oriented on both sides. The obverse side depicts a snowboarder snowboarding in front of a snowy mountain, a holographic flame, and the Olympic venues in Sochi. The reverse side features a bird in gold SPARK ink, the Fischt Stadium, and an underprint of athletes in action: skiers, ski jumpers, skaters, hockey players, curlers, and bobsled teams. The note has a Vitrail security thread and a watermark of the Olympic rings and sochi ru 2014. Its dimensions are 150 mm by 65 mm. This Russian 100 Ruble banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
