Russia 100 Rubles Banknote from 2015 with pick number P-275b is in uncirculated (UNC) condition and features the Memorial to the Heroic Defense of Sevastopol. This commemorative banknote is part of Series KC.


The Russia 100 Rubles Banknote was issued by the Bank of Russia in 2015 to commemorate the annexation of Crimea from Ukraine. It has a color combination of yellow, green, brown, and blue. The obverse features Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky’s The Russian Squadron on Sebastopol Roads, the sculptor Amandus Adamsons Monument to the Scuttled Ships in the Sevastopol Bay, the layout of the Sevastopol city, architect I. Fialko and sculptor V. Yakovlevs Memorial to the Heroic Defense of Sevastopol in 1941-1942 on the Nakhimov square, and St. Vladimir’s Cathedral. Its reverse side shows a grapevine, the Sail cliff, and Au-Dag mountain, the Swallows Nest castle on Aurora Cliff overlooking Cape of Ai-Todor in Yalta, Crimea, Khans mosque in Khans Palace in Bakhchysarai, a radio telescope RT-70 near the town of Yevpatoria, and the Quick Recognition Code. The note has a holographic windowed security thread with demetallized 100 and the miccroperf ruble symbol. It also contains a watermark that reveals Catherine the Great and electrotype jewelry. The note measures 150 x 65 mm. This commemorative banknote is part of Series KC and is in uncirculated condition.
