The Rwanda 1,000 Francs Banknote was issued by the National Bank of Rwanda in 1998. It has a color combination of green, blue, and brown, and bears French and Kinyarwanda text. The obverse features Mount Bisoke and Mount Karisimbi in Volcanoes National Park. The reverse depicts Ankole-Watusi cattle and workers in a tea plantation field. The note contains a solid security thread with demetallized BNR. Its watermark reflects an Intore dancer’s head and an electrotype BNR. It is 145 x 73 mm in size and is signed by Francois Mutemberezi and Justice Faustin Nteziryayo. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
