This uncirculated 1,000 Rwandan franc note is a specimen banknote issued by the National Bank of Rwanda. It is a blue, green, and orange note that is dated 01 July 2004, bear the signatures of Consolata Rusagara and Francois Kanimba, and measures 140 mm x 72 mm. Its obverse side features a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint, the National Museum of Rwanda, and a horizontal SPECIMEN No. overprint. Its reverse side shows a golden monkey in the Volcanoes National Park. Security features include a windowed security thread with demetallized BNR1000, a holographic stripe, an all-zero serial number, and a watermark of the national coat of arms with an electrotype BNR.
