The Saudi Arabia 1 Riyal issued in 2009 comes with a fancy serial number. With an exceptional paper quality, this 133 x 63 paper note is graded 65 by the Paper Money Guaranty. The obverse presents King Abdullah and the first Islamic coin known as the Amawi gold dinar from the 7th century. The Saudi Arabia Monetary Authority headquarters building and the countrys Coat of Arms that depicts a palm tree and two swords are found on the banknotes reverse. The banknote is designed with a windowed security thread with a demetallized SAMA 1 and signed by the former Minister of Finance Al-Assaf and former SAMA Governor Al-Jasser. Moreover, when this paper bill is held up to a light source, an image of King Abdullah, an electrotype 1, and Cornerstones can be seen.
