The Saudi Arabia 1 Riyal is part of the 2012 series of banknotes. This particular note has the same number for its entire serial number and is graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty. The obverse of the note shows a portrait of King Abdullah and an image of the first Islamic coin which is known as the Amawi gold dinar from the 7th century. The reverse features the Saudi Arabia Monetary Authority headquarters building and the nations Coat of Arms which depicts a palm tree and two swords crossed together. The Saudi Arabia 1 Riyal banknote comes with a windowed security thread that has a demetalized SAMA 1 on it. This 133 x 63 mm paper bill has a portrait of King Abdullah, an electrotype 1, and Cornerstones for its watermark.
