The Saudi Arabia 1 Riyal banknote is part of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency’s 2007 issues. The light green banknote features King Abdullah and the front of the 1st Islamic gold coin which is a 7th-century Amawi gold dinar. The reverse of the banknote displays the SAMA headquarters building and the coat of arms of Saudi Arabia, represented by two crossed swords and a palm tree. The 133 x 63 mm paper bill was printed by Thomas De La Rue and bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized SAMA 1. It also carries a watermark that reflects King Abdullah, an electrotype 1, and Cornerstones. This Saudi Arabia 1 Riyal banknote bears a repeating serial number and is in uncirculated condition. It has also been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
