This 1 Saudi Arabian riyal note is part of the 2009 series and signed by Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al-Assaf and Muhammad Al-Jaser. It is a light green note that measures 133 mm x 63 mm. Its obverse side features the first Islamic coin—a 7th-century Amawi gold dinar—and King Abdullah. Its reverse side features the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) headquarters building and the national emblem. Security features include a fancy serial number, a windowed security thread with demetalized SAMA 1, and a watermark of King Abdullah, electrotype 1, and Cornerstones. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering.
