Its obverse side features the first Islamic coin—a 7th-century Amawi gold dinar—and King Abdullah. Its reverse side features the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) headquarters building and the national emblem. Security features include a fancy serial number, a windowed security thread with demetalized SAMA 1, and a watermark of King Abdullah, electrotype 1, and Cornerstones.
