The Saudi Arabia 1 Riyal Banknote was issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency in 2012. This light green banknote features King Abdullah on its obverse. The obverse also displays the front of a 7th-century Amawi gold dinar which is the first Islamic coin. The reverse depicts the headquarters building and the national emblem with two crossed swords and a palm tree. The note contains a windowed security thread with a demetallized SAMA 1. It also has a watermark that reflects King Abdullah, an electrotype 1, and cornerstones. The banknote is 133 x 63 mm in size and is signed by Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al-Assaf and Fahad Al-Mubarak. This particular paper bill has a repeating serial number and is in uncirculated condition. It also has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
