The Saudi Arabia 5 Riyal Banknote from 2009 is part of the 2007 - 2016 fifth series. Its obverse side features the Ras Tanorah oil refinery in Jubail, and a portrait of King Abdullah. The reverse side features the Jubayl Port in the eastern region and the coat of arms of Saudi Arabia. The note is 145 x 66 mm in size and is equipped with a Windowed security thread with demetalized SAMA 5, to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would show a watermark image of King Abdullah, electrotype 5, and cornerstones.
