The Saudi Arabia 50 Riyal banknote was issued in 2012 and features on the obverse a portrait of King Abdullah and the Al Sakhra Dome mosque or the Dome of the Rock. The banknotes reverse depicts the Al Aqsa mosque in Al Quds Al Shareef and the nations coat of arms showing two crossed swords and a palm tree. The 155 x 70 mm paper bill comes with a holographic stripe and a windowed security thread with a demetalized 50 and Arabic text. It also bears a watermark that reflects King Abdullah, an electrotype 50, and Cornerstones when held up to a light source. Additionally, it has the signatures of Governor Fahad Al-Mubarak and Finance Minister Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al-Assaf. Printed by De La Rue, this particular Saudi Arabia 50 Riyal note is graded 65 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
