The Saudi Arabia 50 Riyal banknote was introduced in 2016 when the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency changed its name to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority. The notes obverse design features King Salman bin Abdulaziz on the right and on the center is the Al Sakhra Dome mosque. The reverse of the note boasts the Al Aqsa mosque in Al Quds Al Shareef and the coat of arms of Saudi Arabia which shows two crossed swords and a palm tree. The banknote comes with a holographic stripe and a Motion windowed security thread with Arabic text and the countrys emblem. With dimensions of 155 x 70 mm, it has a watermark that reflects King Salman bin Abdulaziz, an electrotype coat of arms, and Cornerstones. The Saudi Arabia 50 Riyal banknote was printed by De La Rue and carries the signatures of Governor Ahmed Abdulkarim Alkholifey and Finance Minister Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al-Assaf. This particular paper bill has been graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
