The Saudi Arabia 50 Riyal banknote was issued in 2016 when the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency was renamed to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority. The obverse of the banknote features King Salman bin Abdulaziz on the right and on the center is the Al Sakhra Dome mosque. The reverse of the note displays the Al Aqsa mosque in Al Quds Al Shareef and the coat of arms of Saudi Arabia which shows two crossed swords and a palm tree. The 55 x 70 mm banknote comes with a holographic stripe and a Motion windowed security thread with Arabic text and the national emblem. It also has a watermark that reflects King Salman bin Abdulaziz, an electrotype coat of arms, and Cornerstones. The Saudi Arabia 50 Riyal banknote was printed by De La Rue and bears the signatures of the SAMA Governor Ahmed Abdulkarim Alkholifey and Finance Minister Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al-Assaf. With exceptional paper quality, this particular paper bill has been graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
