The Saudi Arabia 500 Riyal Banknote from 2016 is part of the 2016 - 2017 6th series. Its obverse side features the Kaaba cube and a portrait of King Abdul Aziz. Its reverse side features the coat of arms of Saudi Arabia and the Kaaba cube in the courtyard of the Holy Mosque in Mecca. The note is 166 x 74 mm in size and is equipped with a Holographic stripe, a Motion windowed security thread printed with Arabic characters and national emblem, a watermark image of King Abdul Aziz, an electrotype coat of arms, Arabic characters, and Cornerstones, to enhance its security features.
