This banknote set comes with 6 pieces of 50 pfennig notgeld banknotes issued by the City of Schalkau in Thuringia in 1921. These banknotes are part of the History Series and were designed by Hermann Gesell. These notes have a unified design on their obverse with the denomination on its upper center flanked by two soldiers. Their reverse side comes with various designs. These local emergency banknotes are 95 x 65 mm in size and are in uncirculated condition.
