The Scotland 1 Pound banknote was released in 1996 by the Royal Bank of Scotland Public Limited Company. Featured on its obverse is a portrait of Lord Ilay. On the banknotes reverse is the Edinburgh Castle. The paper bill is 128 x 65 mm in size and bears a solid security thread. Additionally, it has a watermark that reflects an image of Lord Ilay. It also has the signature of G. R. Mathewson. This particular Scotland 1 Pound banknote is TAP authenticated and comes in uncirculated condition.
