The Scotland 50 Pound banknote was released in 2005 by the Royal Bank of Scotland Public Limited Company. The note comes in green and brown combinations. Featured on the right of its obverse is a portrait of the first governor Lord Ilay and on the bottom left is a hologram. The banknotes reverse depicts Inverness Castle and thistles. The 155 x 85 mm paper bill bears a security thread and a watermark that reflects an image of Lord Ilay when held up to a light source. This particular Scotland 50 Pound banknote that carries the serial number 359987 comes in uncirculated condition. Additionally, it has been certified authentic using Banknote Worlds TAP (Trust.
