Reviews:

The 5 Scottish pound banknote, issued on the first day of the 2005 British Open tournament, commemorates the illustrious career of Jack Golden Bear Nicklaus, one of the greatest golfers of all time. It is also the first British banknote to feature a living commoner who is not a subject of the reigning monarch. The serial numbers of this note start with the prefix JWN, the initials of Jack William Nicklaus. The obverse features Lord Archibald Campbell, Earl of Ilay, and the Nicklaus Golden Bear logo. The reverse features highlights of Nicklaus career: his winning shot at the 1978 Open Championship in St. Andrews, a young Niklaus holding the Claret Jug, and his scorecards in the 1970 and 1978 Open Championship. The notes dimensions are 135 mm by 70 mm.
