The Scotland - The Royal Bank of Scotland plc 1 Pound Banknote was issued by the Royal Bank of Scotland Public Limited Company in 1988. Featured on its obverse is Lord Ilay Archibald Campbell who was the bank’s first governor. The reverse depicts Edinburgh castle. The banknote bears a watermark that reveals Lord Ilay. This 128 x 65 mm banknote does not have a security thread. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
