The Sierra Leone 1,000 Leones Banknote was issued by the Bank of Sierra Leone in 2006. It has a color combination of red and yellow. Its obverse side shows a carving, the national coat of arms, and a portrait of Bai Bureh. Its reverse side depicts a telecommunications satellite dish. Security features include a windowed security thread with a demetalized BSL and a watermark of a lion head, an electrotype BSL, and Cornerstones. The note is 160 mm x 77.5 mm and id signed by Governor James D. Rogers and Deputy Governor Mohamed Sanpha Fofana. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60 to 70.
