This uncirculated 1,000 Sierra Leonean Leone banknote is a standard circulation note that is dated 04 August 2006 and signed by Governor James D. Rogers and Deputy Governor Mohamed Sanpha Fofana. It is a red and yellow note that measures 160 mm x 77.5 mm. Its obverse side shows a carving, the national coat of arms, and a portrait of Bai Bureh. Its reverse side depicts a telecommunications satellite dish. Security features include a windowed security thread with a demetalized BSL and a watermark of a lion head, an electrotype BSL, and Cornerstones. The note was withdrawn in 2011.
