Sierra Leone 2,000 Leones Banknote, 2016, P-31c, UNC

The Sierra Leone 2,000 Leone Banknote is part of the 2016 issues of the Bank of Sierra Leone. It comes in a combination of blue and orange and was printed by De La Rue. Its obverse features journalist Isaac Theophilus Akunna Wallace-Johnson. It also shows the coat of arms of Sierra Leone, a port building and a cargo ship, and a double diamond foil patch with a demetallized BSL. The note’s obverse depicts the Bank of Sierra Leone building and a stylized man with a date cluster. The paper bill bears a windowed security thread with a demetallized BSL 2000 and a scrollwork. Additionally, it carries a watermark that reveals a lion’s head, an electrotype 2000, and Cornerstones. The note is also signed by Ibrahim Stevens and Kaifala Marah. The note is 140 x 69 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition.
