This used 5,000 Sierra Leonean leone note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Sierra Leone. It is a blue and purple note that is dated 27 April 2010, bear the signatures of Sheku Sambadeen Sesay and Andrina Rosa Coker, and measures 145 mm x 71 mm. Its obverse side contains a portrait of revolutionary Sengbe Pieh, the national emblem, a diamond holographic patch, and a view of the Old Fourah Bay College building. Its reverse side shows a view of the Bumbuna Dam. Security features include a StarChrome windowed security thread with a demetalized BSL 5000 and a watermark of a lion head with an electrotype 5000 and Cornerstones.
