Sierra Leone 5,000 Leones Banknote, 2018, P-32d, UNC

The Sierra Leone 5,000 Leone Banknote is part of the Bank of Sierra Leone’s 2018 issues. The note is in a combination of blue and purple. Its obverse features revolutionary leader Sengbe Pieh, the coat of arms of Sierra Leone, a diamond holographic patch, and the Old Fourah Bay College building in Freetown. On the reverse is the Bumbuna Dam. The banknote bears a StarChrome windowed security thread with a demetallized BSL 5000 and a watermark that shows a lion’s head, an electrotype 5000, and Cornerstones. The note is also signed by Kelfala Kallon and Ibrahim Stevens. It is 145 x 71 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition.
