The Sierra Leone 500 Leones Banknote was issued by the Bank of Sierra Leone in 1991. It has a color combination of brown and green and bears English text. Its obverse features president Joseph Saidu Momoh and the State House building with palm trees. It also shows a spearhead, a fish, and the coat of arms of Sierra Leone. The reverse depicts two fishing boats in Freetown harbor and a carp. The banknote contains a solid security thread. Its watermark reveals a lion's head. It is 160 x 77.5 mm in size. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
