This banknote set includes 6 pieces of notgeld banknotes released by the City of Soemmerda in Thuringia in 1921. These paper bills are in 25 and 50 pfennig, and 1-mark denominations and make up the Dreyse Series. A common element in their obverse design is the coat of arms. Other design details are villages, and portraits of firearms inventor Johan Nikolaus von Dreyse and reformer Christian Gotthilf Salzmann. The reverse of these banknotes depicts soldiers holding a rifle. These banknotes share the same color schemes but are in different sizes. Emergency paper bills included in this collection are in uncirculated condition.
