The Solomon Islands 2 Dollars Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands in 2001 to commemorate the bank’s 25th anniversary. This green banknote features a Sanford pacific eagle, the coat of arms of the Solomon Islands, and stylized frigate birds. It also displays stylized porpoises and angel fish, and the round CBSI SILVER JUBILEE logo. The note’s reverse depicts shell rings, fish, a bird, and men spearfishing. The banknote contains a windows security thread with a demetallized CBSI and a coat of arms and CBSI shadow image watermark. It is 140 x 72 mm in size and is signed by Rixk N. Houenipwela and George Kiriau. This commemorative banknote is printed on polymer and is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
