The Solomon Islands 5 Dollars Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands in 1986. This blue banknote bears English text. Its obverse features birds, fish, and the coat of arms of the Solomon Islands. The reverse depicts a bird, wood carvings of the sea spirit, traditional war canoes, a hut on stilts, and palm trees. The banknote contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals a falcon in flight. It was printed by De La Rue and is 142 x 72 mm in size. It is signed by Anthony V. Hughes and Mariano Kelesi. This paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
