The Solomon Islands 5 Dollars Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands in 1997. The note is predominantly blue and bears English text. Its obverse features the coat of arms of the Solomon Islands, a fish, and birds. The reverse depicts wood carvings of a sea spirit, traditional war canoes, a hut on stilts, and palm trees. The note contains a solid security thread with demetallized CBSI and a watermark that reflects a falcon in flight. The note was printed by De La Rue and is 142 x 72 mm in size. It is also signed by Rick Houenipwela and Warren Paia. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has a low serial number.
